We welcome all visitors and if you are worshipping with us for the first
time, we pray that you will feel at home in our worship. Please see
below some of the facilities that we can offer—a steward will be happy
to help you should you need more information.
• Refreshments after our 10.30am service
• A welcome and information desk at the bottom of the main
staircase
• Complimentary parking for Sunday worship
• Induction Loop to assist those using hearing aids. Please
switch your instrument to ‘T’ setting
• Large font prints of today’s hymns and notices
• Crèche for babies and toddlers
• Play bags for the under 3s at the back of the sanctuary
• Groups for children and young people of all ages.
If you wish to give towards the work of High Cross through the
offering and are a tax payer we would appreciate you using our pink ‘Gift Aid’ envelopes which are found in the back of the chairs, which
allows us to reclaim ‘Gift Aid’.
If you know of anyone ill or in hospital, please advise our Pastoral
Secretary, your Elder, your Pastoral Visitor or the Church Office.
Items for inclusion in the Sunday notices should be handed to the
Church Office by 11.00am the previous Wednesday.
£20 FOR 20 YEARS: Thanksgiving envelopes are available for your donations.
Please gift aid if possible. Envelopes can be put in the offertory or given to the
church office. All contributions will help to fund the new projection system.
SUMMER ORGAN RECITALS: A series of organ recitals are once again being
held here at High Cross during the months of June July and August. The recitals
which take place from 12.45pm to 1.30pm will be on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of
each month. Further details will be displayed in the concourse in due course.

SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB: Louisa is still looking for adult helpers so please see
her if you feel able to offer some of your time.
WEDNESDAY CLUB: A Bring and Barbecue is being held on 5th August at the
home of Glynis Sweetinburgh, Frimley Green. All are
welcome. Please bring meat to cook, drinks, salads, etc to share. For more
details please contact Glynis.
BERKSHIRE BORDERS PLOUGHMANS LUNCH: This is being held on 7th
August between 12noon and 2.00pm at John and Andrea
Wood’s. (Please see
page 29 of Crosstalk) The invitation is open to all but to assist with catering
please could you sign up on the list outside the Church Office.
TOILET REFURBISHMENT: The ground floor toilets are being refurbished
between 19th July and 20th August. During this time the toilets will be closed.
Alternative toilets are however available on the 1st floor.
SUMMER ORGAN RECITALS:The next recital is on Thursday 12th August at
12.45pm. The organist for this recital is John Wood. Please come along to
support John and enjoy the music.
CROSSTALK: Linda Alderman has been recording Crosstalk for Janet Drake over
some period of time but unfortunately is unable to continue due to work
commitments. A volunteer is therefore needed to take over from her. Linda has a
cassette recorder and will show you how to do it. Further details from Linda.
MONDAY LUNCH CLUB: We are closed during August and will restart on
Monday 6th September 2010. We look forward to the next session but are
aware there are changes happening in Camberley which might affect us. If we
have any news we’ll let you know straightaway. Enjoy the break and don’t forget
the downstairs café does not close.
METHODIST HOMES FOR THE AGED: The sum of £256 was raised to which
the sum of £250 has been added by the Church. Thank you to all who
contributed.
DAVID’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY: The sum of £548.56 was sent to the Al
Sharooq School for Blind Children in recognition of the anniversary of David’s 25
years in Ministry. David and Ruth would like to thank everyone most sincerely.
